Terms and Conditions

The following are the terms and conditions of the Talbot Collection Loyalty Programme for Guests.

1. Definitions

"Company" means Talbot Hotel Group Limited, registered in Ireland no. 418679, registered address 146 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

"Talbot Collection Rewards Member" means a person that has registered for and been accepted as a member of The Talbot Collection Loyalty Programme for Guests.

"Hotel Stay" is a night or nights that a Talbot Collection Member stays in a Participating hotel, pays for their stay and register the stay.

"Membership" means membership of the Talbot Collection Programme.

"Participating Hotel" means any of the hotels owned or operated by the Company other than a hotel that in the sole opinion of the Company should cease to be a Participating Hotel.

"Talbot Collection Rewards Points" means the points awarded to a Talbot Collection Member for a Hotel Stay in a Participating Hotel which shall entitle a Talbot Collection member to points in accordance with clause 3 of this agreement which in turn shall entitle the Talbot Collection Member to Programme Rewards.

"The Talbot Collection Programme" means the programme entitling Talbot Collection  members to the benefits offered and subject to these terms and conditions.

"Benefits" means the benefits awarded by the Company to a Talbot Collection  member based on the members tier level and such benefits can be altered by the Company if it, in its sole opinion, believes that any of the benefits should cease or be modified.

2. Membership

2.1 Membership to the Talbot Collection Loyalty Programme is offered at the sole discretion of the Company.

2.2 Membership entitles a Talbot Collection member to Talbot Collection Points, and the redemption of the Talbot Collection Points entitles the Talbot Collection Member to Programme Rewards subject to all applicable laws and regulations and subject also to income tax and other taxes which shall be the sole liability and responsibility of the Talbot Collection member.

2.3 A Talbot Collection member must quote his or her membership number at the time of booking to avail of Talbot Collection Points.

2.4 If more than one Membership is assigned to a person, he or she will only receive Talbot Collection Points on one account and the duplicate account or other accounts will be cancelled.

2.5 The Talbot Collection Member is obliged to notify the Company in writing of any change in address from the address in the Talbot Collection Programme application form.

3. Talbot Collection Points.

3.1 The Talbot Collection member will receive Talbot Collection Points for any qualifying Hotel Stay paid for by him/her and for any food and beverage expenses charged to his/her room.

3.2 A qualifying stay is any direct booking made online at talbothotels.ie or on any individual hotel website or by phone directly with a Talbot Collection Hotel.

3.3 Talbot Collection Points WILL NOT be awarded or received for:

    (a) the purchase of the Company gift vouchers,

    (b) charges incurred for conferences including room hire and food and beverages and banquet functions,

    (c) Third party travel websites such as expedia.com, lastminute.com, laterooms.com and booking.com, FIT rates, Fam rates, Tour Group or Series rates and any discounted promotional rates via third party agents such as Booking.com, Supervalu Breaks,Expedia.

3.4 Talbot Collection Points cannot be earned simultaneously with any other loyalty scheme points which are in partnership with the Company (such as local Bar offers / Leisure Centre Offers) in relation to the same Hotel Stay.

3.5 Talbot Collection Points will be awarded in local currency where Hotel Stay has taken place. The Talbot Collection Member will receive 1 point for every Euro spent in any Participating Hotel. This may be subject to change at the discretion on the Company.

3.6 A Talbot Collection Member is only eligible to receive Talbot Collection Points if the room is reserved in a Participating Hotel in his or her name and is personally occupied and paid for by the Talbot Collection Member. The room must be booked direct by the Guest with the participating Hotel.

3.7 A Talbot Collection Member may only receive Talbot Collection Points for a maximum of two rooms - one self-occupied room and one other room. The additional room must booked in the members name and paid for by the Talbot Collection Member.

3.8 A room in a Participating Hotel being occupied by one or more Talbot Collection Member will only attract Talbot Collection Points to one Talbot Collection Member.

3.9 Talbot Collection Points accrued by a Talbot Collection Member are for the Talbot Collection Member’s sole benefit only and may not be assigned or transferred to any other person.

3.10 Talbot Collection Points may take up to 40 days to be credited to the Talbot Collection Member’s account.

3.11 Points will only be backdated if requested and for a maximum period of 3 months. The Talbot Collection member must provide proof of completed booking in order to backdate points. Points are backdated at the sole discretion of all members of The Talbot Collection.

 

 

4. Account Activities Statement.

The Talbot Collection member will receive an Activity Statement if and only if the Talbot Collection member has earned Talbot Collection  Points or claimed a Programme Reward during the three month period prior to issue of the activity statement. Individual Activity Statements will not be duplicated. Statements will be emailed to Talbot Collection members every quarter.

5. Programme Rewards and Gift Collection.

5.1 Programme Rewards may take up to 60 days for delivery.

5.2 Programme Rewards must be claimed in the manner specified by the Company.

5.3 Once a Programme Reward has been claimed, it cannot be exchanged.

5.4 The Gift Collection and the Programme Reward can be altered by the Company at its sole discretion either partially or wholly.

5.5 Free Room Night Awards can only be booked online at www.talbothotels.com or by contacting reservations at each hotel and are strictly subject to availability. Blackout dates apply. Free room night is based on a maximum of 2 adults sharing. Third person supplement will be applied for any additional guest.

5.6. General booking terms and conditions will apply to rooms booked under the Free Room Night Awards. Free Room Night Awards can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to arrival. Talbot Collection Points will only be refunded to Talbot Collection members who cancel before 24 hours prior to arrival. Any Free Room Night Award cancelled 24 hours prior to day of arrival will forfeit the corresponding Talbot Collection Points for the Free Room Night.

6. Benefits.

6.1 Talbot Collection reward benefits are awarded to a Talbot Collection Member based on the Talbot Collection Members tier level.

6.2 Talbot Collection Reward benefits are subject to availability and can be altered by the Company at its sole discretion either partially or wholly.

 

8. Termination.

8.1 A Talbot Collection Membership and/or the Talbot Collection Programme may be terminated by the Company at any time.

8.2 Any Talbot Collection member who has not earned Talbot Collection Points for twelve consecutive months will forfeit their Talbot Collection Points. Talbot Collection Points will therefore expire after twelve consecutive months if the Talbot Collection member has not earned Talbot Collection Points over a twelve consecutive month period. Member will be notified before the expiration date.

8.3 Any Talbot Collection  member who has not earned or redeemed Talbot Collection  Points for eighteen consecutive months ie account has been inactive, will have their Talbot Collection  membership terminated and all Talbot Collection  Points in the name of the Talbot Collection  member will be forfeited. Member will be notified before the expiration date.

9. Governing Law.

These terms and conditions are to be construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland and the parties submit themselves to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.

10. Notices.

The Company's address for the service of notices shall be the Talbot Collection for Guests Programme, c/o Talbot Hotel Wexford, On the Quay, Wexford

12. Waiver.

The Company will not be prejudiced or restricted by any indulgence of forbearance extended to the Talbot Collection member. No waiver by the Company in respect of a breach of these terms and conditions shall operate as a waiver in respect of any subsequent breach of these terms and conditions.
